Each year, MCPS coaches come together to vote for the players they believe had the most significant impact on the season. Those selected receive "All-County" honors, marking an incredible achievement. While it’s always thrilling to see MVSA players recognized, this year’s list features an extraordinary 16 MVSA athletes!
Ema Djordjevic, a high school senior and member of MVSA 18 Chaos this year, earned the prestigious Player of the Year title for the second year in a row! This remarkable honor caps off an unforgettable season for Ema, who led her team with incredible skill and determination to another Maryland Class 4A Volleyball State Championship. Ema’s leadership and talent contributed to yet another stellar season for MVSA players.
In addition to Ema’s outstanding achievement, MVSA is incredibly proud to celebrate the accomplishments of all our amazing athletes who earned all-county honors this year. We have five players named to the First Team, two on the Second Team, and eight receiving Honorable Mentions. These accolades reflect the hard work, dedication, and talent that define MVSA volleyball.
This marks the fourth year in a row that an MVSA player has captured the Player of the Year award (Samantha Bolze in 2021, Wendy Liu in 2022, and Ema’s own win last year in 2023). The streak showcases the consistent excellence and dedication of MVSA athletes.
Congratulations to all 16 MVSA players who earned all-county honors this year. Your hard work and achievements make the entire MVSA community beam with pride. We are so proud of each of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
